Employment
Full-time Live-in Care Providers
We continually accept applications from people interested in becoming CH Care Providers. Preference is given to:
- Two adult household members, one of whom can hold an outside job and available to support the primary Care Provider.
- Individuals with care giving experience or experience working with adults with DD.
- Individuals with the required training and hours of experience to become licensed as an AFH provider (or who are already licensed) in Washington State.
Care Providers are individually licensed to run an AFH, and they contract directly with the state to provide Medicaid personal care services. Care Providers are NOT CH employees.
Respite Providers - Part-time, on-call
Care Providers frequently need part-time, on-call respite for an evening, weekend, or longer vacation periods. Care Providers hire their own respite providers. CH acts as a liaison to find interested, able respite caregivers and put them in touch with Care Providers. Respite providers must have current First Aid, CPR, and Fundamentals of Care Giving training. Please note that CH is NOT the employer for respite providers.
