About Community Homes

Community Homes is an Adult Family Homes provider in east King County Washington State area. We offer supportive living environments ensuring healthy life choices and community integration for adults with developmental disabilities.

Our homes give special care and encouragement to enhance the quality and level of independence of our residents. Residents participate in self-care and home care activities, such as preparing meals, doing laundry, maintaining common areas, and their rooms. Live-in Care Providers work with residents to maintain and learn independent living skills within each individual’s ability.

Community Homes provides specialized training to its Care Providers regarding learning styles, positive behavior supports, and best practices to encourage each resident to reach their full potential. Care Providers team with families, job coaches, and others to support our residents. Care Providers often arrange special recreational opportunities within each house.

We own five houses with twenty-five residents. Our sixth house is planned to open in late 2009.

Community Homes is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible.
